Spurs fans share amusing Serge Aurier cartoon to explain hat-trick of foul throws

Serge Aurier bags a Premier League hat-trick!

Serge Aurier’s display for Tottenham at Crystal Palace on Sunday was for many, the stuff of nightmares.

The Ivory Coast defender has failed to acclimatise to the Premier League since moving from PSG in the summer.

Aurier has been error prone and his crossing needs a lot of work. As a result, Kieran Trippir is the undisputed first choice right back at Tottenham right now.

There is still time for Aurier to come good – many players struggle in their first season in the Premier League – but Mauricio Pochettino has a lot of work to do.

Three foul throw-ins…

On Sunday at Crystal Palace, Aurier bagged the most unwanted of Premier League records: A hat-trick of foul throw-ins.

It has never happened before in Premier League history and would be ridiculed at Sunday League level.

Besides the throw-ins, Aurier also missed an incredible chance in the final minutes, just before Harry Kane made it 1-0.

Is Serge Aurier the new Moussa Sissoko?

There is now a fear amongst the Tottenham support that Aurier could become the player most under pressure from the fans.

That player had previously been Moussa Sissoko, who was an unused substitute for Spurs at Crystal Palace yesterday.

This cartoon has been doing the rounds amongst Spurs groups on Facebook in recent hours…
