QPR fans furious after Preston’s Ben Pearson ‘assaulted’ Eberechi Eze

QPR 1 – Preston North End 2

Last weekend at Loftus Road, Preston North End kept their promotion hopes alive with a 2-1 win at QPR.

Preston are eighth in the table three points behind Millwall who hold the final playoff spot.

North End have three matches left in the season; if they win all three they’ll have a great chance of finishing in the top six.

QPR took the lead on Saturday through Matt Smith in the 13th minute.

But Preston levelled on the stroke of halftime when Callum Robinson found the target. Robinson was the hero in the 74th minute when he struck a winner for North End.

Preston’s Ben Pearson ‘assaulted’ QPR’s Eberechi Eze

In the aftermath of the match, QPR fans have been calling for action against referee Robert Jones.

Jones has been slammed for missing a red card offence. QPR’s Eberechi Eze was left floored after Preston’s Ben Pearson seemed to take him out with an elbow to the face.

Pearson was nowhere near the ball when he took out Eze with a cynical foul.

Incredibly Pearson wasn’t even cautioned for his aggressive body-check.

That’s left QPR fans fuming on social media.
