Man United 2 – Huddersfield 0
Following the midweek 2-0 defeat against Tottenham, Manchester United returned to winning ways on Saturday.
Jose Mourinho’s men had a relatively comfortable match as they beat Huddersfield 2-0.
Perhaps the biggest surprise of the day was that Huddersfield held United at bay for the first half.
Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku broke the deadlock in the second half.
Lukaku volley home a left wing cross from Juan Mata. He’s now scored 19 goals in all competitions this season, and 12 in the Premier League.

Man United’s second was a first for new boy Alexis Sanchez.
After the Chilean was hacked in the Huddersfield box by Michael Hefele the ref instantly pointed to the spot.
But Alexis Sanchez got lucky with what happened next. The Chilean’s spot kick was saved by Huddersfield goalie Jonas Lossl.
But Lossl was unable to push the ball away, which allowed Sanchez to convert the rebound and fire Man United 2-0 up.
Why Phil Jones missed the Huddersfield match
Phil Jones has been regular for Man United at the back this season.
However, when the team sheet came out against Huddersfield he was nowhere to be seen.
Chris Smalling partnered Marcos Rojo at the heart of Jose Mourinho’s defence.
After Jones scored an own goal in the defeat at Spurs, had Mourinho dropped the England international?
Not according to the defender’s sister. Laura Jones revealed on social media that her brother was sick. She wrote:
Hope everyone feels better soon; including Phil Jones. There are lot of bugs going round lately!
