Brighton vs Arsenal
It was Groundhog Day for Arsenal at Brighton on Sunday.
It took Brighton just seven minutes to break the deadlock against the Gunners.
As is so often the case, Arsenal started brightly in the opening exchanges.
But a set-play was all it took for Arsenal’s backline to fall apart and concede.
Lewis Dunk scores for Brighton
It was so easy for Brigton.
Pascal Gross, as always, took control of swinging in the set play for the Seagulls.
When the ball came into the box it fell at the back post.
Arsenal keeper Peter Cech came off his line to catch the ball. But Cech got nowhere near it as Shane Duffy sent a header back into the mix.
With Cech in no-mans-land, and with the Arsenal defence all at sea, Lewis Dunk swept home the opener.
It was Dunk’s first goal of the Premier League season.
‘Petr Cech is so sh*t!’
As soon as a the goal went in, Petr Cech was abused on social media.
Amazingly Cech has been on 199 clean sheets for the Gunners for 78 games.
He simply cannot get over the 200 line as Arsenal are unable to keep a clean sheet.
Petr Cech will get his 200th clean sheet when he comes out of retirement and plays five games for Watford in 2020-21

When Arsenal bought Cech I thought it was gonna be +10 points, I did not expect that +10 to be for the opponents

Petr Cech is horrendous. Bring back Almunia.

Petr Čech has been stuck on 199 Premier League clean sheets for 78 days, 11 days longer than Sam Allardyce was England manager.
