Paul Pogba’s Man United problems
The big story for Manchester United fans on Thursday are reports that Paul Pogba is unhappy.
Pogba is the Man United all-time record signing. He cost 100 million euros when he returned to Old Trafford from Juventus.
Stories have now surfaced in both the British and French press that Pogba has fallen out with Jose Mourinho.
According to L’Equipe, Pogba regrets returning to Manchester United in the midst of a currently difficult relationship with Jose Mourinho.

A similar story has appeared in the Daily Record. Duncan Castles, a man who has a very close relationship with Mourinho, has revealed how Pogba isn’t happy with how he’s being deployed at Man United:
Paul Pogba wants Jose Mourinho to alter Manchester United’s formation to allow the France international to play an attacking role on the left side of a midfield three.
Mourinho’s position is that an individual with Pogba’s physical and technical qualities should be capable of excelling in any midfield role.
Man United fans react
So who will win the battle?
You’d have to put money on Mourinho, considering it’s his job to setup United’s formation.
However, reaction to Pogba’s supposed unhappiness has split some Man United fans.
On the one hand Pogba has supporters as some fans believe the midfielder is being harshly treated this season.
Others, however, think Pogba needs to follow orders rather than giving them.

Pogba should not be calling the shots on where he plays. End of. Can he play better than he has done recently in a midfield two? Certainly. Is it his best position? Certainly not. But at the moment JM wants him there.

Obviously, I’m kinda removed from it over here, but looks like Pogba/Mourinho about to get nasty, eh?

Two thoughts re Pogba which I expand on in my post pinned to top…
1. Why sign a player if you aren’t prepared to play him in his favoured position?
2. Do as your told and if you’re that good, then you should be able to adapt slightly.

I completely buy that there would be tension between Jose Mourinho & Paul Pogba, but the player does not dictate, the manager does. Mourinho has to be better utilising Pogba there is zero doubt, but the Frenchman does not call the shots tactically. That's too much player power.

Had enough of all the nonsense about Pogba’s position. You play where the manager wants you. Sir Alex told this man to play as a striker, second striker, attacking midfielder, left midfielder, defensive midfielder, central midfielder, you name it. Perform well at any cost. #mufc pic.twitter.com/JBUsxss6E0
