Patrice Evra v Marseille
On Friday the verdict came down from Marseille.
Marseille have terminated the contract of Patrice Evra after he was banned from playing in any European competition. UEFA’s ban will last for seven months.
The former Man United left-back reacted to abuse from his own fans in the build-up to their Europa League tie with Guimaraes but he took it too far.
A video of the Frenchman punching one fan and kicking another in the face soon went viral, with the club swiftly suspending him.
