Off to Arsenal or Liverpool? Marco Reus was with his agent at Heathrow airport on Tuesday night [Picture]

Arseblog have got their hands on an exclusive picture on Wednesday, showing Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus with his agent Volker Struth at Heathrow airport on Tuesday night.

UPDATE: Major apologies. Since writing this story, it’s come to our attention that the picture above is actually from February 2015. What’s unclear is whether Arseblog where simply taking the piss out of the silly season, or alternatively whether Arseblog were themselves duped.

UPDATE 2: We’ve just noticed that Arseblog have now posted this update on their Facebook account.

The picture is sure to send some Arsenal and Liverpool fans into a frenzy, as they hope the sighting of the German star in England could be a sign that he’s ready to leave Dortmund to join the Premier League.

Against all the rumours that Reus could be off to Arsenal or Liverpool, earlier in the week the player’s agent said that his client is staying put at the Signal Iduna Park. Volker Struth told the media:

We read the rumours that are circulating about an alleged transfer for Marco.

We can say with certainty that the player is having a wonderful time at Dortmund. He is flattered by the interest of many European teams but he’s recently decided to stay in Dortmund.

Were Reus to come on the market, one would assume that Arsenal would have the edge over Liverpool.

Reus would surely only move to a club that not only plays in the Champions League, but is also a club capable of winning their domestic championship.

Unfortunately for Liverpool, they are not that club right now, although Arsenal could be.

For the record, we have no confirmation as to what Reus and his agent were doing in Heathrow airport.

Let the speculation begin…
