Arsenal continued to show seriously strong home form in 2017/2018, with a comfortable victory over Brighton on Sunday at The Emirates.
The Gunners completed a fine week with a win over Brighton that never looked in doubt.
Nacho Monreal opened the scoring on 16 minutes with a right footed finish after a number of Brighton blocks.
Nacho Monreal comes up trumps again
Arsenal had peppered the Brighton goal from a Granit Xhaka free-kick and it was Monreal who finished well from inside the box.
It has been a fine week of Premier League football for Monreal.
The Spanish defender produced an awesome goal line block against West Brom on Monday night with Arsenal going onto win 2-0.
Monreal has become a key defender for Arsenal in recent months.
Nacho Monreal warned Brighton
Somewhat amusingly, Nacho Monreal, who has struggled for goals throughout his career, warned Brighton on Instagram ahead of the Premier League match.
On Saturday, Monreal posted a picture of himself taking a shot in Arsenal training, with the following tag line: “Getting my shooting boots ready!”
Many Arsenal fans left comments on the Instagram post (which was a paid promotion by PUMA) to congratulate Monreal on his “shooting boots”.

Gunners ease to win over Brighton
Arsenal confirmed their win over Brighton thanks to a second half goal by Alex Iwobi.
The Nigerian international was played in thanks to a brilliant back heel by Alexis Sanchez.
The Arsenal win takes them to fifth in the Premier League, level with Chelsea in fourth position.
Arsene Wenger’s side face two tricky away Premier League matches after the international break, at Watford and Everton.
