Shkodran Mustafi slaughtered after Arsenal lose at Newcastle

Newcastle 2 – Arsenal 1

Arsenal are useless away from home.

The Gunners continued their appalling record at Newcastle on Sunday, remaining the only Premier League club yet to pick up a point away from home in the league in 2018.

Arsenal lost at St James’ Park having taken the lead in the first half.

Alexandre Lacazette slammed home the opener from a Pierre Emerick-Aubamayeng cross, as the Gunners started brightly.

But Arsenal were unable to hold the lead for long. A slick Newcastle attack was finished by Ayoze Perez for 1-1.

In the 68th minute Newcastle took the lead. Sub Islam Slimani was involved before Matt Ritchie slammed home the second for the Magpies.

Arsenal’s Shkodran Mustafi slaughtered

Plenty of Arsenal players underperformed against Newcastle.

But it’s the continued litany of mistakes from German World Cup winner Shkodran Mustafi which seems to frustrate Arsenal fans the most.
