How Mohamed Salah reacted to Willian’s Chelsea equaliser

Liverpool held by Chelsea

It finished Liverpool 1 – Chelsea 1 on Saturday at Anfield in the Premier League.

After a goalless first half, Liverpool broke the deadlock through their Egyptian star Mohamed Salah.

It was Salah’s tenth of the league season, and he’s the leading goalscorer in the Premier League.

Chelsea snatched a point in the final minutes of the game.

Antonio Conte brought Willian off the bench with six minutes to go, and less than two minutes later later the Brazilian floated the ball over Simon Mignolet’s head.

After Saturday’s game, Chelsea are third in the Premier with 26 points after 13 games. Liverpool are fifth in the division with 23 points on the board.

Mohamed Salah after Willian scored

Much was made abut Mohamed Salah’s reaction after he scored in front of the Kop.

Salah made a point of not celebrating his goal.

Was that because he’s a former Chelsea player?

While that’s possible, the much more likely scenario was that Salah was merely reflecting on a huge terror attack in Egypt on Friday.

By contrast, after Willian levelled for Chelsea, Salah was animated in the middle of the pitch.

The Egyptian star threw his arms in frustration as he watched his backline concede.

Liverpool fans are likely to enjoy the clip, as it reveals just how committed Salah is to the cause at Anfield this season.
