Mo Salah at The Best

Mo Salah’s social media updates give no clues on Liverpool fitness pre Huddersfield

Will Mo Salah be fit for Huddersfield vs Liverpool?

It was the news all Liverpool fans would have been dreading during the international break: Mo Salah is injured and will be returning to Merseyside for rehabilitation.

On Friday, Mo Salah played for Egypt in their Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Swaziland.

Egypt won 4-1 to grab three crucial points with Salah scoring direct from a corner in the second half.

Salah was withdrawn in the latter stages of the match due to a muscle injury.

Mo Salah misses Swaziland vs Egypt

On Saturday, the Egyptian FA confirmed that Salah would be returning to Liverpool and would not play in their Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match on Tuesday.

Egypt are facing Swaziland again and after winning 4-1 on Friday, perhaps they feel they do not need their Liverpool star?

The Pharaohs remain in second place in Group J of Africa Cup of Nations qualifying so they could have done with a fit Mo Salah for Tuesday’s match.

Whilst Salah does, as expected, look a little disappointed, there is very little for fans to go on here regarding his fitness.

Liverpool do face a busy spell after the international break but their fixtures have eased up considerably having played the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City recently.

Jurgen Klopp’s side are at Huddersfield on Saturday, before home games versus Crvena Zvezda and Cardiff City.

If Salah has picked up a serious injury, you could understand if Liverpool rest the Egyptian until they face Arsenal away on November 3, 2018.
