Mido congratulates Mohamed Salah on Egyptian record with Liverpool warning

Liverpool 3 – Southampton 0

Mohamed Salah continued his awesome form for Liverpool in their 3-0 win over Southampton at Anfield on Saturday.

Salah opened the scoring with a brilliant curling effort. And, Salah claimed number two to all but win the game for Liverpool.

There is little doubt that Salah has been the signing of the summer in the Premier League as he continues to provide goals on a weekly basis.

Mohamed Salah is now the top goal scorer in the Premier League this season and must have a real chance of completing the season at the top of the tree.

Mohamed Salah breaks an Egyptian record!

The two Liverpool goals versus Southampton were also important for Salah on a personal level.

Mohamed Salah is now the Egyptian to have scored the most goals in European football.

The Liverpool star’s tally of 79 beats the record which had been set by Mido, the former Ajax, Tottenham, West Ham and Middlesbrough striker.

So fair play to Mido, now a TV pundit and coach, for congratulating Salah.

Mido’s Mohamed Salah warning for Liverpool

But, as can be seen below, Mido has a warning for Liverpool as well.

If Salah continues in this form, surely Liverpool can keep hold of their star man!

They only signed Salah a few months ago!

Also notice how Mido jokes about Salah-Raheem Sterling comparisons from a few years ago as well.
