Michy Batshuayi trolls Diego Costa after Chelsea winner at Atletico Madrid

Atletico Madrid 1 – Chelsea 2

Chelsea pulled off one of the results of the season on Wednesday night, winning 2-1 at Atletico Madrid.

Antonio Conte’s side pulled off a smash and grab in the final seconds to become the first away side ever to win at the new Wanda Metropolitano.

Antoine Griezmann had put Atletico ahead from the penalty spot in the first half.

Coming back against Atletico in their own new stadium looked like a seriously tough ask for Chelsea.

However, goals from Alvaro Morata (another header) and a late winner from substitute Michy Batshuayi confirmed an excellent victory for the Blues.

For Belgian striker Michy Batshuayi, it was another example of just how clinical he can be off the bench.

Batshuayi replaced Alvaro Morata with eight minutes to go and finished off a tightly worked move in the Atletico box on 84 minutes.

And, after the game, Batshuayi was clearly delighted with his contribution and took the opportunity to celebrate on social media.

On Instagram, Batshuayi has posted four times since the goal, including a celebratory picture from the away dressing room at Atletico Madrid.

More seriously, Im happy to score the winning goal but what a great game we had !!! Terrific team performance enjoyed it all #KTBFFH

Michy Batshuayi trolls Diego Costa

By far the most amusing of the posts uploaded by Batshuayi is a picture of the Belgian attacker with two former Chelsea strikers.

It features Batshuayi in the middle of Diego Costa and Fernando Torres.

Batshuayi captioned the image: “Great honour to meet one of the great strikers I used to watch when I was younger … and no I’m not talking about Diego”.
