Man United’s 2018 American tour
This week Man United have confirmed that their returning to America in the summer break.
The Red Devils’ tour will kick off against Mexican side Club America on Thursday 19, July in Phoenix.
A second match has been scheduled against MLS side the San Jose Earthquakes on Sunday 22, July in Santa Clara.
This is the fifth time Man United have gone to America in their pre-season.
Man United drop summer transfer hints
When Man United announced their US trip, they also released a poster.
Four players were included on the graphic. Those players were Alexis Sanchez, Ander Herrera, Juan Mata and Daley Blind.
Have United sent out a subtle hint about how their squad will look next season?
In recent months there has been plenty of speculation about players who could leave Old Trafford this summer.
Daley Blind is one of those players said to be a possible exit candidate, yet his inclusion on the US poster suggests otherwise.
Similarly Ander Herrera and Juan Mata are often linked with returns to Spain.
It’s also worth noting that all four players are in line to miss out on playing at this summer’s World Cup in Russia.
Alexis Sanchez wont be going as Chile failed to quality. Blind will also watch the competition at home as Holland missed out.
Mata and Herrera are unlikely to be picked in the Spain 23-man squad.
Pogba on his Man United problems
On Sunday, a brand new interview with Pogba has aired on French TV show Telefoot.
In it, Pogba has dismissed claims he’s fighting with Mourinho at Old Trafford. With a grin on his face, the 100 million euro man said:
There is no problem with Jose Mourinho!
I am not the one who makes the team. You have to ask the coach if you want to know why I’m playing less. I respect his choices. It’s too early to talk about a Man United exit, the situation may change.
