Man United fans hate one player after Leicester

Leicester 2 – Man United 2

Man United failed to pick up three points at Leicester on Saturday.

In dramatic late scenes at the King Power Stadium, Harry Maguire scored deep into injury time.

The Foxes took the lead against the Red Devils with a brilliant counter attacking goal.

Jamie Vardy scored his 50th Premier League goal as the Foxes went from one end of the pitch to the other in 13 seconds.

Juan Mata levelled for United in the first half from a Jesse Lingard assist.

In the second half Mata curled a stunning free-kick into the top corner.

Chris Smalling’s late injury

In the final stages of the match at the King Power Stadium, Chris Smalling picked up an obvious groin injury.

But unfortunately for Smalling he was forced to play out the rest of the match despite his obvious discomfort.

That’s because Jose Mourinho had already used up his three subs. Marcus Rashford replaced Anthony Martial. Ander Herrera came on for Jesse Lingard. And Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

And Smalling’s injury proved incredibly costly, as Harry Maguire popped up over his shoulder  in the 94th minute to level the match 2-2.

Out vs Burnley?

It seems highly likely that Smalling will miss United’s match against Burnley on Boxing Day.

Mourinho was already facing an defensive injury problem with Eric Bailly a long term absentee, while Antonio Valencia is also sidelined.

Man United fans hate

After Smalling’s late mistake – which seemed obviously triggered by his injury – Man United fans turned to social media to vent their hate.
