Man City vs Liverpool quarter-final preview

Pep Guardiola’s side suffered bitter disappointment on Saturday as Manchester United managed to overturn a two-goal deficit to win 3-2 and cut City’s lead at the top to 13 points.

Whilst they remain on course to win the title, confidence will be low as they return to the Etihad to host Liverpool.

They now face the daunting prospect of out-scoring Klopp’s deadly attacking trio after being humiliated 3-0 in the first-leg.

The Reds are the highest scoring team in the competition this season netting an incredible 31 goals in just nine European fixtures.

On Saturday, they ensured they remain on course to finish in the top four this season after earning a valuable point in the Merseyside derby at Goodison Park.
