Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani’s Wolves Twitter attack

Leeds 0 – Wolves 3

It’s been a terrible 2018 for Leeds United.

They’ve only won once this calendar year as their promotion hopes have gone up in smoke.

Their latest setback came on Wednesday night at Elland Road as they lost 3-0 to league leaders Wolves.

Wolves went into the break 2-up after goals from Romain Saiss and Willy Boly. Benik Afobe scored 15 minutes from time to wrap up the away win.

The Wolves victory left them six points clear of Cardiff City at the top of the Championship.

Leeds United are 13th, nine points adrift of the playoff places.

Andrea Radrizzani’s Wolves Twitter attack

After the match, Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani launched a Twitter attack on Wolves.

As everyone knows, super-agent Jorge Mendes is heavily involved with Wolves.

Not only is Mendes working behind the scenes in an ownership capacity, but several players under his care are now plying their trade at Molineux.

For Radrizzani, Wolves have an unfair advantage, and he’s taken his complaints to social media:

He claimed there were “evident benefits” of Mendes having links at Wolves, whose manager Nuno Espírito Santo is among his clients, with Radrizzani suggesting they included “top European clubs giving players with options to buy”.

Radrizzani added: “Congratulations to the best team but hope the league can be fair and equal to all 24 teams.”
