Chelsea 0 – Manchester City 1
The big Premier League match of the weekend ended in a 1-0 win for Manchester City.
Even the biggest Chelsea fan would have to admit that Pep Guardiola clearly won the tactical battle at Stamford Bridge.
Manchester City were dominant throughout and Chelsea barely had the ball, let alone created many chances.
It was undoubtedly a huge victory for Manchester City, who keep pace with Manchester United at the top of the Premier League table.
Kevin De Bruyne bags the winner for Manchester City at his old club
The winner for Manchester City came on 67 minutes, scored by ex-Chelsea player Kevin De Bruyne.
De Bruyne took on an assist from Gabriel Jesus and powered the ball home left footed past international team mate Thibaut Courtois.
So far this season, Kevin De Bruyne is emerging as the best player in the Premier League.
Ever since arriving in England, many have wondered at how brilliant Kevin De Bruyne is with both feet, not a skill all professional footballers can produce on a regular basis.
Why Kevin De Bruyne is so good with his left foot
A great story has emerged from Belgian journalist Kristof Teurrer as to why Kevin De Bruyne is so strong with his left foot.
Everyone seems to agree that De Bruyne is right footed naturally.
However: Kevin De Bruyne had to use his left foot as a kid because his neighbours kept complaining about them destroying their plants and flowers.
Perhaps there is a lesson out there for all youngsters learning to play the Beautiful Game?
