West Ham vice-chairman Karren Brady courts attention
She’s one of the most powerful women in English football.
West Ham vice-chairman Karren Brady has today been speaking at the Leaders in Sport Conference at Stamford Bridge, and the Hammers official has made some interesting comments about the Irons.
West Ham have started the season badly, following their terrific campaign last season.
The Hammers were dumped out of the Europa League before the group stage, while they’ve started the season with just one win in their opening seven EPL games.
Moreover, there have been several problems with West Ham fans getting settled in their new London Stadium.
West Ham’s culture
Karren Brady made the following comments on Wednesday about the Irons:
Getting the culture right, being a place where something is expected of you. That wasn’t there when my chairmen took over.
The Olympic Stadium had been built less than a mile away from us; we saw that as a real opportunity to change the brand of the club.
Those comments have provoked plenty of responses on social media.
