Jesse Lingard trolls Man United team mate after win over Liverpool

Manchester United took a massive step to securing second place in the Premier League with a 2-1 win over Liverpool on Saturday lunchtime.

Early goals from Marcus Rashford did the damage for Manchester United. An Eric Bailly own goal halved the deficit for Liverpool.

After playing the full 90 minutes for Manchester United in their comeback win at Crystal Palace on Monday. Jesse Lingard was barely used against Liverpool.

Jose Mourinho introduced Lingard on 89 minutes as a substitute for Juan Mata.

Jesse Lingard tolls Scott McTominay on social media

Despite only playing the final few seconds of the game, Jesse Lingard has celebrated the victory with an amusing post on Instagram and Twitter.

Scott McTominay impresses again

For many watching on Saturday lunchtime, Scott McTominay had another fine game for Manchester United.

After choosing Scotland over England and with Paul Pogba missing, there was always going to be plenty of focus on McTominay.

And, the Manchester United youngster performed well once again, which explains why Jose Mourinho has so much faith in him.

McTominay also took to Instagram to celebrate the victory and it would be a surprise if the midfielder did not play in the upcoming crucial games for Manchester United.

Jose Mourinho’s side face Sevilla and Brighton at home this week, as they look to progress in the Champions League and FA Cup.
