Iconic Brazilian keeper spotted at Chelsea after Tottenham visit

Chelsea & Tottenham

After seven rounds of the Premier League season, Tottenham are one point and one place above bitter rivals Chelsea.

Chelsea, of course, beat Spurs 2-1 at Wembley earlier in the season.

Chelsea also pipped Tottenham to the Premier League title in the last campaign.

Spurs picked up maximum points on Saturday in the Premier League winning 4-0 at Huddersfield. Harry Kane starred with a brace against the Terriers, lifting up to 13 goals in September.

As for Chelsea, they suffered a body blow losing 1-0 at home to Man City. Kevin De Bruyne scored the only goal of the game at Stamford Bridge.

Rogerio Ceni & the Premier League

Brazilian Premier League football fans took to social media en masse on Saturday night during the Chelsea v Man City game.

That’s after legendary Brazilian goalie Rogerio Ceni was spotted watching the match in the Stamford Bridge crowd.

Interestingly, Ceni was spotted in the Man City away crowd. So does that mean he’s a Sky Blues supporter?

While Ceni was at Chelsea v Man City on Saturday, earlier in the week the former goalie turned up at Tottenham.

A picture leaked out onto social media showing Ceni at Spurs’ training ground.

Life after Sao Paulo

Ceni seems to be doing a tour of London clubs after a disappointing spell as the manager of Sao Paulo.

The legendary scoring keeper lasted just six months in the Sao Paulo dugout, as he left his post back in July.

Ceni left the club in a bad state after a string of poor results. When he exited Sao Paulo, the club sat in 17th place, in the relegation zone with 11 points from three wins and two draws in 11 matches.

For the record, Sao Paulo remain 17th in the table and in the drop zone. However they are now just one point away from safety.

Ceni, however remains a Sao Paulo legend. The goalie was a one-club man and a player that may be in the record books for eternity with a goalkeeper-high 131 goals in his career.
