Ian Wright blocks Arsenal fans after Liverpool backlash

Ian Wright v Arsenal fans

Arsenal fans are usually hugely respectful and loving towards Ian Wright.

That makes perfect sense after what Wright did for the Gunners during his esteemed career at the club.

However this weekend Wright has had to block Arsenal fans on social media for his support of a Liverpool star.

Leicester 2 – Liverpool 3

Liverpool picked up three massive points on Saturday in the Premier League.

In a thrilling match at the King Power Stadium, Liverpool came out on top in a five goal thriller with the Foxes.

In midweek, of course, Leicester dumped Liverpool out the EFL Cup.

Liverpool got revenge in the league on Saturday. Mohamed Salah opened for the Reds before Philippe Coutinho scored a stunner.

Shinji Okazaki started the fightback for Leicester, however JOrdan Henderson pulled the Reds 3-1 in front after the break.

But then things went nutty. Jamie Vardy scored a header to make it 2-3. Minutes later Vardy won a penalty after a foul from Simon Mignolet.

Mignolet, however, made amends saving Vardy’s spot-kick.

Wright on Oxlade-Chamberlain

This weekend, Ian Wright expressed his confident in Liverpool summer signing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

The Ox, for the record, came on as a second half sub at Leicester.

Liverpool signed Oxlade-Chamberlain in a £35 million deal on transfer deadline day, ending the England international’s six-year association with the Gunners.

Wright’s comments, however, provoked a slew of abuse from Gooners on social media.

The backlash was so bad Wright had to block his haters on Twitter.
