Harry Redknapp sacked as Birmingham manager
It now looks very likely that Harry Redknapp’s lengthy career in management is over.
The former Bournemouth, Portsmouth and Tottenham boss has been a colourful manager in the English game.
And, came ever so close to becoming England manager, but this season has been a true disaster for Redknapp as Birmingham manager.
4 points from 8 games…
After keeping Birmingham in the Championship by the skin of their teeth last season, on the final day, Redknapp’s side have seriously struggled in 2017/2018.
No doubt Redknapp will blame recruitment for his woes but the numbers speak for themselves this season.
After eight games, Birmingham have secured just four points.
(Redknapp famously arrived at Spurs bemoaning Juande Ramos, who had secured two points from eight games.)
6 defeats in a row!
After a couple of wins in August, in the Championship and League Cup, Birmingham have been completely hopeless.
Today’s home 3-1 loss to Preston means that Birmingham have lost a woefully poor six games in a row.
Just hours after the latest defeat, Birmingham announced they had parted company with Redknapp.
Whilst it does feel very early on in the season, it is hard to question the Birmingham board after such a horrible start to the new campaign.
Social media savage in their thoughts on Harry Redknapp
Ultimately, Harry Redknapp is simply not very popular on Twitter.
Now 70, we hope Redknapp does not read the Tweets below, which are very harsh!
Surely now nobody else is going to fall for 'Arry's tricks.

Harry Redknapp has been sacked by Birmingham. He's had a triffic time there though.
And by triffic, I mean shite.

Signing 14 players, losing six in a row and getting sacked is the most Harry Redknapp sacking in the world.

At least Birmingham had enough of a sense of humour/moral duty not to sack Harry Redknapp before… pic.twitter.com/QkMCc1dInl

As a footie fan, I'm always stunned when Harry Redknapp gets appointed to ANY management role, His skill is getting huge pay-offs to leave

Great to see Harry Redknapp being sacked by Birmingham. Horrible mercenary who has stolen a living for the last 30 years.
