Swindon Town 0 – Grimsby Town 1
6690 fans turned up on Saturday to watch Swindon Town lose 1-0 at home to Grimsby in the League Two.
The win was massive for Grimsby.
Heading into Saturday’s match, Grimsby were still too close to the relegation zone for comfort at the foot of the Football League.
However the three points have lifted Grimsby five points clear of second-from-bottom Barnet, and the Mariners are within touching distance of remaining in the division.
Mitchell Rose scores from the worst penalty decision
It’s League Two, so no-one will care, however Swindon fans are furious after the Grimsby game.
The match was settled on the stroke of halftime was Grimsby scored from the spot.
Mitchell Rose made no mistake after the referee, John Brooks, pointed to the penalty spot.
However the decision to award a penalty was a complete joke.
Grimsby’s Harry Cardwell won the penalty after a shocking dive in the Swindon box.
Swindon centre-half Ryan McGivern was accused of bringing his opponent down.
In reality, Cardwell threw himself to the floor without any contact whatsoever.

Even at the game at full speed it was pretty obvious it wasn’t a penalty

Shouldn’t be allowed to ref a kids game. That’s a shocker!

I think that's the 3rd time we've had that ref and each time he's been shit. He looks like a hybrid of Ryan Gossling and Rodney Trotter. what a plonker! 😂
