Frank De Boer is unemployed
It finally happened.
Inter Milan today sacked Dutch coach Frank De Boer, and the Italian club did so in a rather harsh manner.
Having been in the job for just 84 days, De Boer was reportedly told his services were no longer needed via Skype.
De Boer’s sacking, however, wasn’t much of a surprise as the rumours have been flying around for a couple of weeks during a rough patch for Inter.
The club are 12th in the Serie A table with 14 points from 11 league games.
De Boer reacts on Instagram
As is the way of modern football, after being released from his contract De Boer turned to Instagram to write his goodbye message. He wrote:
It’s a shame it had to end this way. To push things forward I needed more time.
I want to thank all the fans for all the support you have given me these past few months. “Forza Inter”
It seems clear that De Boer is upset with Inter’s Chinese owners for their decision.
