Fears Jorge Mendes will pull Ruben Neves out of Wolves

Wolves are back in the Premier League!

Even before Wolves played Birmingham on Sunday, the club’s Premier League promotion was sealed.

Fulham failed to beat Brentford on Saturday night at Craven Cottage.

Aleksandar Mitrovic fired Fulham into the lead in the 70th minute. But the Cottagers were denied a win by a 90th minute leveller from Neal Maupay.

As a result, Wolves were mathematically confirmed as promoted to the Premier League.

Jorge Mendes & Ruben Neves

When it comes to Wolves in the top flight, many are optimistic about their chances.

Manager Nuno Espirito Santo has compiled a fabulous squad at Molineux, and they have the talent in their ranks already to look competitive next season.

Can Wolves realistically be thinking about a top half of the table finish next year?

Much of their success could depend on Ruben Neves.

Neves stunned world football joining Wolves for 15 million pounds last season from FC Porto. He’s since been superb in the Championship promotion season.

The 21-year-old Portuguese European champion is under contract until 2022.

Neves has scored six goals in the league this season.

Neves is under the control of super-agent Jorge Mendes. Indeed, Mendes is thought to wield significant control over what happens at Wolves.

That’s lead to fears that Mendes could cash in on Neves this summer, taking him from Wolves in a huge deal.
