Everton fans spread a horrible story about Farhad Moshiri

Everton’s tough start

Having been tipped as possible top six finishers before the season started, Everton are now far busier trying to pull away from the relegation zone.

After seven rounds of the Premier League season, Everton are fifth bottom with just seven points on the board.

Last time out, Everton lost 1-0 at home to Burnley.

After the game Everton majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri released a statement backing the former Barcelona defender.

A number of pundits have suggested that Koeman has been given the “dreaded vote of confidence”.

There seems little doubt that Everton’s next Premier League match, at Brighton, is absolutely crucial to Ronald Koeman’s job prospects.

With one Dutch manager already sacked in the Premier League this season, could Koeman be next?

Unsurprisingly, Dutch boss Ronald Koeman is the 4/7 favourite to be the next Premier League manager to leave his post.

Horrible story about Farhad Moshiri

Football fans can often get bored in the international break.

And that may have been the spark for a horrible rumour to spread about Everton owner Farhad Moshiri.

Some Everton fans are freaking out over the weekend as claims spread online that Moshiri has been shot in Russia.

Indeed, there’s a supposed screengrab of a tweet from RT claiming the Moshiri incident happened.

The tweet, which could easily have been doctored, read: Everton owner and business partner of Alisher Usmanov Farhad Moshiri has been shot in Moscow.

To be clear, the story is completely false and untrue.

Nevertheless, it’s provoking plenty of discussion on social media.
