Premier League make enormous screw up during Spurs 1 – Bournemouth 0
Spurs win a Premier League game at Wembley!
Tottenham finally won a Premier League home game at Wembley, at the fourth time of asking.
Continuing his awesome form for club and country it was Christian Eriksen that grabbed the winner two minutes after half-time.
Eriksen managed to find a way through the Bournemouth defence and passed the ball into the back of the Cherries net left footed.
It wasn’t the greatest of Tottenham performances but the result was absolutely crucial ahead of a massive week.
Spurs head to play Real Madrid on Tuesday night at the Bernabeu in the Champions League.
Tottenham then return to Wembley for a crucial Premier League clash against Liverpool.
The Premier League’s enormous screw up during Tottenham’s Bournemouth win
For some Tottenham fans, the win might not have been as comfortable as it turned out to be.
With 12 minutes remaining, the Premier League (and other notification applications) sent their users the message that Jermain Defoe had equalised against his former club.
This came after Defoe had seen a chance saved on 78 minutes by Hugo Lloris.
The chance was close to going in, but did not cross the line.
Yet, whoever runs notifications for the Premier League clearly hit the button too quickly.
