Liverpool 2 – Tottenham 2

The fallout from Sunday’s match at Anfield has continued on social media on Tuesday.

Tottenham picked up a 2-2 draw at Liverpool in one of the best matches of the Premier League season.

The match exploded in the final ten minutes. That’s after Mohamed Salah opened for Liverpool inside three minutes.

Victor Wanyama levelled for Spurs with a wonder strike in the 80th. Harry Kane then missed a penalty, before Salah morphed into Leo Messi to put Liverpool 2-1 up in the 90th minute.

But Spurs won a second late penalty in front of the Kop. This time Kane scored to chalk up his 100th Premier League goal.

One of the big talking points after the game was a dive by Dele Alli.

Under close attention of Liverpool defenders Dejan Lovren and Andrew Robertson, Alli tried to con the ref into awarding a penalty.

Rather than point to the spot, ref Jon Moss booked Alli for cheating.

That’s the third time this season Dele Alli has been booked for diving.

The Liverpool centre-half posted a picture in the aftermath of the dive. Lovren is towering over Alli as the Spurs star is on the floor.

Tottenham vs Newport: FA Cup 4th Round Replay preview

Welsh minnows Newport County travel to Wembley on Wednesday night for their FA Cup fourth round replay against Spurs.

The two sides drew 1-1 a week and a half ago, forcing an unwanted replay for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

Newport moved down to 11th in the League Two table on Saturday following their 2-0 away draw at Colchester United. The Exiles are now four games without a win in all competitions.

After the first leg, Spurs won’t be taking this match lightly. It’s been more than a decade since their last trophy win and this season’s FA Cup represents a genuine opportunity for Spurs to end their drought.
