Aaron Ramsey

Conspiracy theory: Why Aaron Ramsey was dropped for Brighton vs Arsenal

Why was Aaron Ramsey dropped vs Brighton

When the Arsenal team sheet came out for the Brighton game, there was no sign of Aaron Ramsey in the squad.

For many Arsenal fans that wasn’t a great surprise.

As the Gunners are set to endure another difficult and trophy-less season, rumours have spouted up about Ramsey’s feelings.

The Gunners are on woeful run of form following their successive defeats to Man City.

They even lost at home to Östersunds, while Arsenal have lost four of their last five, and five of their last seven.

The ‘Wenger Out’ brigade is getting loud again, and according to rumours spreading round social media, Ramsey wants the manager gone.

Aaron Ramsey is ‘Wenger Out’

Some of the bigger Arsenal influencers in recent days have been repeating the same rumour.

Ramsey has spoken out about Wenger behind closed doors at Arsenal.

The Welsh midfielder has made it clear he thinks it’s time for a change.

Wenger, of course, is under contract until the end of next season.

Aaron Ramsey’s Arsenal exit

At the same time, the Mail on Sunday reported that Aaron Ramsey plans to leave the Gunners.

Ramsey is out of contract in 2019, meaning Arsenal could be forced to sell the midfielder this summer if he’s refusing to sign a contract extension.

27-year-old Ramsey has six goals and six assists in 17 Premier League games this season. He’s scored seven goals and chipped in seven assists in 22 games for club and country in all competitions.

Which clubs would be interested in Ramsey right now? Would any of the top five be jumping at the opportunity to sign a player with his injury record?
