Harry Kane celebrates v West Ham

West Ham 2 – Tottenham 3

Once again, we have to consider the prospect that Tottenham’s away form is going to be very strong this season.

Whilst Spurs’ form at Wembley could be a real struggle for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

Tottenham, somewhat incredibly find themselves in fourth position in the Premier League table, despite having picked up two points from nine at home.

Draws with Swansea and Burnley plus a home defeat to Chelsea have put a dent in Tottenham’s early season form.

Away from home Tottenham are a completely different prospect.

Tottenham keep the momentum going at West Ham

Spurs have beaten Newcastle, Everton and West Ham this season and have a 100% away record so far.

On Saturday, two goals from Harry Kane and a second half strike by Christian Eriksen were enough to keep the momentum going at Tottenham.

The good news for Spurs is that their next two matches are also away from home – at APOEL in the Champions League on Tuesday night followed by a trip to Huddersfield on Saturday.

Christian Eriksen: “Oh, here you go… another brick”

In the post-match interview, after Tottenham’s 3-2 win over West Ham, both Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane exclaimed their delight at the victory.

And, at the end of the interview, Eriksen jokes to Kane, when he hands over the man of the match award.

Eriksen said: “Oh, here you go… another brick.”

The yellow coloured brick has been used for Premier League games since the start of the 2016/2017 campaign.

It remains to be seen whether the Premier League will change their man of the match award after this very public criticism.
