Arsenal’s forgotten man Lucas Perez
Until the end of the season, Lucas Perez remains an Arsenal player.
Of course, Perez is unlikely to ever play for the Gunners again.
Perez was signed for around £17 million in 2016.
But the 29-year-old, who only scored once in his 11 Premier League appearances for the Gunners, returned to Deportivo La Coruna on loan over the summer.
However Perez’s Spanish return hasn’t gone well.
The Arsenal striker has only scored five goals all season, four in La Liga, while Deportivo are in grave danger of going down.
Deportivo are third bottom of the league, with just 17 points on the board from 22 games. They are three points behind Levante and safety.
Deportivo’s Lucas Perez abused via graffiti
On Thursday, a few pictures have been posted on social media showing how fans are turning on Deportivo’s Perez.
In several locations in the city, Lucas Perez has been targeted via graffiti. In the messages the Arsenal striker has been called a “mercenary” while he’s been told to “go now”.

Indeed, the most prominent sign has appeared outside Perez’s supposed former house.
A neighbour has written a message outside the property saying: “Lucas no longer lives here, asshole”.

Deportivo La Coruna are back in action on Monday night in La Liga as Real Betis visit the Riazor.
When the sides met earlier this season, Betis won 2-1.
