Sven Mislintat at Schalke v Borussia Dortmund
Are Arsenal gearing up for yet another swoop in the German transfer market this summer?
Of course the Gunners signed Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang from BVB in the January transfer window.
On Sunday there was an interested spectator at the Revierderby between Schalke and Borussia Dortmund.
Arsenal’s chief scout Sven Mislintat was spotted at the Veltins-Arena over the weekend.

Why Arsenal’s Mislintat was in Germany
It’s worth noting that Mislintat used to work for Borussia Dortmund before he switched to join Arsenal.
So was Mislintat returning to watch his former side in action in the derby?
Some suggested that Mislintat was in Germany to have a close look at Schalke’s Max Meyer.
If that was his objective, Mislintat would have been frustrated as Meyer was left on the Schalke bench.
Back in the January transfer window, reports out of German claimed Arsenal were chasing Meyer.
Crucially, Meyer is out of contract at the end of the season. The 22-year-old is one of the most sought-after free agents this summer.
Newcastle 2 – Arsenal 1
It was another dire weekend for Arsenal in the Premier League.
Arsenal have played five matches away from home in the league in 2018. They’ve lost every single one.
Arsenal lost at St James’ Park having taken the lead in the first half.
Alexandre Lacazette slammed home the opener from a Pierre Emerick-Aubamayeng cross, as the Gunners started brightly.
But Arsenal were unable to hold the lead for long. A slick Newcastle attack was finished by Ayoze Perez for 1-1.
In the 68th minute Newcastle took the lead. Sub Islam Slimani was involved before Matt Ritchie slammed home the second for the Magpies.
