It cannot be easy running a social media account for a major football team.

Arsenal have no less than 7.6 million followers on Twitter and are told to delete posts on a regular basis – from both their own fans and rival supporters.

On Thursday, Arsenal’s official Twitter account attempted to get into the spirit of Euro 2016 by hailing their playmaker Mesut Ozil before Germany’s Euro 2016 match with Northern Ireland.

Arsenal evoked the “Will Grigg’s on fire” song that has gone viral to promote a video of Mesut Ozil tearing it up for the Gunners last season.

But, Gooners (and presumably opposition fans) did not enjoy the line “Will Grigg’s not the only one on fire” Tweet and the official Arsenal account deleted it as they told their fans in the subsequent Tweet.
