Ander Herrera vs Man City
Man United midfielder Ander Herrera has taken to social media to react to the spit-storm.
Footage recorded at halftime of the Manchester derby revealed how Herrera spat on the Man City crest as he walked off the pitch.
Man City were 2-up at the break after Vincent Kompany and Ilkay Gundogan scored.
As Herrera left the pitch, the Spanish midfielder was spotted spitting at the Man City crest just outside the players’ tunnel.
However Herrera is furious with the bad press he’s received, and he’s now hit back.
‘Stop talking sh*t’
Using Instagram Stories to get out his message, Ander Herrera has told his haters to “stop talking shit”.
Herrera claimed he’s “always” respects the crests of other clubs, and he’s also made sure to note he has friends who are Man City fans.
The Sun have published a statement from Man United on behalf of Herrera. That read:
Ander has seen the footage of the incident and is mortified at any suggestion that his actions were deliberate.
It was entirely accidental and there was no intent whatsoever.
It’s been confirmed that Herrera on Monday will not face any punishment from the FA.
Yet, unfortunately for Man City, they will be punished after losing the derby.
City had six players booked against United. That’s incurred an automatic fine of 25,000 pounds.
Nothing going to happen re Herrera spitting or coin throwing at Mourinho from Saturday. However @ManCity will get an automatic £25,000 fine after having six players booked.

No FA action likely against Ander Herrera following allegations of spitting on Man City badge. Player has insisted it was not deliberate, so attempts to prove otherwise likely to prove impossible.
