Alvaro Morata’s injury boost before West Brom

Chelsea vs West Brom

Following the matches in the Premier League over Saturday and Sunday, Chelsea are now fifth in the division.

Antonio Conte’s side can go third on Monday night if they can beat West Brom at Stamford Bridge.

Yet, after Watford thrashed the Blues 4-1 last Monday at Vicarage Road, is anyone really confident that Chelsea will pick up maximum points against the Baggies?

Alvaro Morata is out vs West Brom

In the build up to the West Brom game, Conte has confirmed that Alvaro Morata is out of the match.

The Spanish striker has been struggling with form and fitness in recent weeks. Indeed, it’s been reported that Morata is struggling with a back injury.

Indeed, prior to the Baggies game, Conte worried about just how long Morata will be out for:

We are struggling a lot to find a solution to solve the pain in his back. If you ask me whether he needs a day, a month or the rest of the season, I don’t know.

I don’t know. For this reason, I’m a bit worried. You know very well the importance of the player.

But how bad is Morata’s back?

On Sunday night, the Chelsea forward appeared in a bit of a strange video alongside his pregnant wife Alice Campello.

The couple are known for being extra luvvy-duvvy on social media. And in their latest video, Morata dances with his other half, before the footballer helps with Alice Campello’s hair.

Perhaps the most interesting part of the video for Chelsea fans came when Morata picked up his wife during their dance routine.

That’s a sign that Morata’s back isn’t completely knackered.

Ti amoooo amichetto del cuore @alvaromorata ❤️
