Anyone who has followed Alexis Sanchez in recent years will know that he was never going to be out for too long due to injury.
Arsenal’s Chilean superstar picked up a hamstring injury in the 1-1 draw at Norwich two weeks ago.
On Friday, Arsene Wenger in his pre-Aston Villa press conference suggested that Sanchez would be available to play against Manchester City next Monday evening.
Wenger: “He is back on Sunday, he trains on Monday morning at 9.30 a.m. He is running already … I sent him back to Chile, where he has been running with the physio of the national team, and we will see what kind of state he is in next week. He may be a bit short for City, certainly, but with Alexis you never know.”
On Saturday evening, Sanchez posted a picture montage on Instagram confirming his return to London and suggested he will be back for Arsenal’s key clash with Manchester City.
See the Instagram picture below, translation of Sanchez’s message is as follows: “I want to thank those people who looked after me during my stay in Chile … … props to the Physiotherapists ⚽️ Thank you .. Hope to do what I like ⚽️😀”.
