Smith & Gosling: Bournemouth injury update before Tottenham

Bournemouth vs Tottenham

Bournemouth host Tottenham in Saturday’s early kick-off for their final home game of the season.

The Cherries have had a slightly disappointing campaign, given how they started it.

Earlier in the season, it looked as though Eddie Howe’s side could be challenging for 7th place.

However, some bad injury luck and poor form has seen them slip down to 14th in the table.

Tottenham, on the other hand, can secure their Champions League status with a win on Saturday.

Spurs are currently 3rd in the Premier League and would go seven points above 5th-placed Arsenal should they pick up all three points vs Bournemouth.

Eddie Howe gives injury update

As mentioned above, Bournemouth have had their fair share of injury blows this season.

This is something Eddie Howe alluded to in his pre-match press conference on Friday.

Howe then provided an injury update on several of his players.

The trio of Dominic Solanke, Dan Gosling and Adam Smith are all doubts heading into the tie:

“We’ve got a few knocks and will be making some late calls ahead of the game.

“Dan Gosling (calf), Adam Smith (knee) and Dominic Solanke (hamstring) all have problems, so we’ll have to see how they are nearer the game.”
