West Brom miss out on promotion
West Brom were relegated from the Premier League in 2018 after finishing in 20th spot with 31 points.
Towards the end of their latest stint in England’s top-flight, Darren Moore would help turn results around, as the Baggies lost just one of their last five. But it was too little, too late.
After such a positive end to their 2017/18 season, Moore was then given the task of winning promotion back to the Premier League in the 2018/19 campaign.
However, Moore would be sacked in March of 2019.
West Brom would finish the season in 4th place in the Championship. They then faced Aston Villa in the play-off semi-finals, losing the tie 4-3 on penalties.
Bilic set for West Brom
After missing out on promotion at the first time of asking, West Brom look to be searching for a new coach to lead them back to the Premier League.
According to the Mirror, they have finally found their man in Slaven Bilic.
Bilic is said to have been interviewed for the job on Tuesday evening, with the Mirror claiming that he is now West Brom’s number one choice.
Slaven Bilic will likely be best known to West Brom fans for his tenure at Premier League outfit, West Ham.
During his stint as Hammers boss, Bilic took charge of 109 games, winning 42, drawing 30 and losing 37.
Bilic’s last job in management saw him take charge of Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad Jeddah in September of 2018. But he was sacked in February of this year after winning just three games.
