Sky Sports have released emails sent between West Ham and Sporting Lisbon that prove that a bid was submitted for midfielder William Carvalho.
There has been much dispute in recent days that the Hammers did not submit a bid for the player who they tracked for several weeks.
This comes after Sporting explained that they did not receive a bid for their player, while West Ham were adamant that they did submit a bid for the player.
This has lead to a massive war of words with several comments in the past day coming from the Sporting side of the things.
Though, Sky Sports have now broken the news that they have retrieved emails that were sent from West Ham to Sporting over a bid.
The emails that Sky have published on their social media include several discussions over a fee and confirmation of a bid being submitted.
Emails also confirm that the bid was actually €25million in three installments and would have included a 10% sell on clause.
It is even revealed that the club were looking to sign another player on loan if the deal was not concluded soon.
That is likely to have been Grzegorz Krychowiak who actually signed for West Brom on loan instead.

Sporting chairman hits out in an incredible way
While the war of words has not fully got under way, there have been some huge shots fired at West Ham.
Sportings chairman has described the West Ham bosses David Sullivan and David Gold in a pretty insulting way.
West Ham have so far refused to respond to the claims but that may well happen if the insults continue.
