Mendy has returned to action for the Sky Blues this term having missed the majority of 2017-18 through injury.
The French World Cup winner has been explosive down City’s left side this season.
While he’s yet to score, Mendy has five Premier League assists this season.
Fabian Delph was deployed at left-back against Fulham.
Many jumped to the conclusion that Mendy was left-out of the City squad for rotation reasons.
Specifically, Man City return to Champions League cation this week.
Yet, after the Fulham match Guardiola told the press that Mendy was missing on Saturday with a knock. Reporters were told:
No doubts about Delph. We know how important he was last season and now with the Mendy injury – it could be weeks or days and maybe longer, having Fabian fit is so important.
How bad is Mendy’s Man City injury?
Right now that’s hard to tell.
Few details are known about Mendy’s fitness problems.
Fans will be listening out for further updates from the Sky Blues this week.

Very misleading sub quotes on Twitter, even people saying @BenDinnery tweeted Mendy might me out for a while
No he didnt, he correctly quoted Pep in full, in whic Gaurdiola was clearly saying he is happy using Delph for as long as needed, days or weeks.
