Chelsea & Antonio Conte
From almost the moment Chelsea lifted the Premier League title last season, questions have been raised about Antonio Conte’s future with the Blues.
In the summer, Conte signed a new Chelsea deal. But while the Italian got a pay rise following his successful first year in London, he didn’t extend his commitment to the club.
Currently Conte is out of a job at the end of the 2018-19 season.
And many have wondered if Conte could leave Stamford Bridge before then. He’s regularly complained about the club’s activity in the transfer market, while he’s also expressed frustrations with working “18 hours a day“.

The Italian job
Italy are still in shock following their defeat to Sweden in the World Cup playoff.
For the first time since 1958, Italy have failed to qualify for the finals.
Gian Piero Ventura has been removed as the Italian manager, and now the quest is on to find the right replacement.
On Sunday Italian Football Federation president Carlo Tavecchio has been speaking on Italian radio, and he’s confirmed that Chelsea’s Conte is a target for the job.
Conte was the Italian boss at the 2016 European Championships. The Azzurri were beaten by Germany in a penalty shootout in the quarterfinals.
Tavecchio told the Le Iene show the following:
(Max) Allegri and (Roberto) Mancini? You’re getting warmer. (Antonio) Conte? Fire.
We’re looking for the best. They already have commitments until June from a contractual point of view.
Then when we get to June, who will be free? The ones are (Carlo) Ancelotti, Conte, Allegri, (Claudio) Ranieri and Mancini. This is the truth of those available.
