Carlos Carvalhal, Sheffield Wednesday manager

Sheffield Wednesday manager Carlos Carvalhal goes on bizarre post-match rant (Video)

Carlos Carvalhal, the manager of Championship outfit Sheffield Wednesday, last night used a rather unusual method to explain why his side’s value has not decreased after their loss to Birmingham City.

The two sides went head-to-head in a league matchup at St. Andrew’s, with Lee Carsley’s City eventually emerging with all 3 points courtesy of a strike from substitute Isaac Vassell.

The result marked just the second win of the league campaign for Birmingham, with the club remaining in the relegation zone despite their victory last night.

Wednesday, meanwhile, slipped down to 14th in the Championship table, having also fallen to defeat in the Sheffield derby over the weekend.

Manager Carlos Carvalhal was questioned on his side’s recent form in his post-match press conference last night, with the Portuguese tactician making use of a rather bizarre metaphor to prove that the value of his squad has not dropped.

Taking a £20 note out of his pocket, the 51-year-old proceeded to punch and scrunch up his money, before questioning the media on whether its value had changed.
