The home side are odds on favourites to win this match at 10/11.

Brighton meanwhile are 16/5 to win at Bramall Lane for only the third time since 1978.

A draw is 23/10.

Under 2.5 goals is 8/13.

Both teams to score no is 4/5.

Lys Mousset is the Blades’ joint-top scorer this season. The Frenchman is 10/3 to open the scoring and 7/5 to add to his tally.

Oli McBurnie scored the winner in the reverse fixture. He is 9/2 to score first and 2/1 to do it to Brighton again.

Neal Maupay meanwhile is Brighton’s top marksman. He is 13/2 to break the deadlock and 14/5 to score anytime.

Alireza Jahanbakhsh could also be a threat. The Iranian international is 7/1 to score first and 3/1 to net anytime.

Both Sander Berge and John Fleck to score is 22/1.

Both Leandro Trossard and Maupay to score is also 22/1.

Sheffield United vs Brighton & Hove Albion: Match preview

Sheffield United’s magnificent season continues.

They were last in action 13 days ago against Bournemouth at home but fell behind just 13 minutes in.

However, in first half stoppage time, Billy Sharp scrambled home a vital equaliser.

That means all of Billy Sharp’s last 34 league goals have been scored from inside the box, a run dating back to October 2017.

Then, late on, John Lundstram the substitute broke through the Bournemouth defence to fire home a winner.

2-1 it finished in the Steel City.

That made it back to back wins following a 1-0 victory at Crystal Palace eight days earlier.

Overall, Chris Wilder’s side have only lost seven of their 26 matches so far, winning six of their last 11.

In the table, they are currently sixth which would be their best top-flight finish since 1974/75.

They last finished fifth in 1962.

If they were to finish there they would qualify for the Europa League group stage.

Also, with Manchester City’s European ban, if upheld, fifth would be enough to get into the Champions League.

They are currently just one point behind Tottenham who are fifth and two off fourth placed Chelsea.

Their only previous participation in European competition came in the 1994–95 Anglo-Italian Cup.

Back then, they racked up one win, two draws and a defeat against Udinese, Piacenza, Cesena and Ancona.

Will they be back in continental competition this season?

Their success has been build on beating teams like Brighton.

In fact, their last three defeats have come against the current top-two.

When facing teams who start the day in the bottom half, they are unbeaten in seven matches since December, winning six of those.

Will Chris Wilder’s team have too much for the Seagulls?

Can Brighton secure a big win?

As for Brighton, they are just about keeping their heads above water.

Like Sheffield United, this is also their first game for a fortnight as they’ve just had their mid-season break.

Fourteen days ago, Graham Potter’s side welcomed Watford to the Amex for a huge relegation six-pointer.

However, it was the Hornets who led at half time when Aaron Mooy was caught in possession and Abdoulaye Doucouré punished him.

Brighton did not create many chances but did equalise in the 78th minute.

Alireza Jahanbakhsh’s cross was turned into his own net by Adrian Mariappa.

1-1 it finished a result which doesn’t really help either of the teams.

That draw means Brighton’s result from their last 5 league games are: seven defeats, six draws and just two wins.

The Seagulls are 15th but with just a three point buffer over the relegation zone.

If their current form continues, their three-year stay in the Premier League could come to an end.

Since promotion though, Brighton have only won seven of 51 Premier League away games.

Most of their points will be won at home but they’d love to get, what would be seen as, a bonus point here.

Next Saturday, they host Crystal Palace in the M23 derby which is also the only two Football League clubs yet to win in 2020 going head to head.

Will that stat be made irrelevant by a Brighton win at Bramall Lane?

Coming off a two week break, Chris Wilder has a few big selection decisions to make.

Having said that, he’s likely to name an unchanged line-up for the third game running.

Goalkeeper Dean Henderson has missed just one game this season and has kept the second-most clean sheets in the league with nine.

He’s one of eight squad members to have played over 2,000 Premier League minutes so far out of a possible 2,340.

The defence has been pretty much unchanged all season long.

Jack O’Connell has played every minute and his fellow centre-backs Chris Basham and John Egan have missed just 80 and 101 minutes respectively.

Wing-backs George Baldock and Enda Stevens are the other ever presents.

They have also been directly involved in six and three goals respectively.

In midfield, Norwegian international Sander Berge also joined last month but he cost a club-record fee from K.R.C. Genk.

He will start for the third game running but that means John Lundstram, despite scoring the winner last time out, will continue on the bench.

John Fleck and Oliver Norwood are seen as more indispensable.

Up front is the only area where Wilder sometimes does rotate.

However, at the moment, Oli McBurnie and Bill Sharp is his first-choice front two.

The latter now has two Premier League goals, both against Bournemouth and both from three yards out.

However, the substitutes can’t rest on their laurels

That’s because the Blades have scored six Premier League goals from substitutes this season, more than any other side in the division.

So, David McGoldrick, Lys Mousset and Richairo Živković will have to be ready if called upon.

The latter could make his debut after joining on loan from Chángchūn Yàtài for the rest of the season.

Will Sheffield United win again?

Brighton & Hove Albion team news vs Sheffield United

As for Brighton, they’re highly unlikely to name an unchanged XI after a two week break of their own.

Mat Ryan will though, as always, be in goal; he’s made the third-most saves in the Premier League with 87.

In defence, Ezequiel Schelotto, weirdly, started at right-back against Watford last time out but was poor as usual.

So, Steven Alzate is likely to come in for him with Martín Montoya seemingly out of favour.

Lewis Dunk, Shane Duffy and Dan Burn are likely to make up the defence with Adam Webster and Bernardo on the bench.

Tariq Lamptey is awaiting his debut after joining from Chelsea.

In midfield, Dale Stephens is likely to come into the team to stiffen up the team.

Pascal Groß could be the man to make way with Aaron Mooy and Davy Pröpper keeping their places.

Yves Bissouma, Beram Kayal and Alexis Mac Allister are the other options.

The latter is a 21 year old Argentine international who spent the first half of the season on loan at Boca Juniors.

Out-wide, Leandro Trossard will keep his place on the left but, on the other side, Alireza Jahanbakhsh could come in for Solly March.

Through the middle, Potter has a decision to make.

36 year old Glenn Murray has started the last two games and scored in the 3-3 draw at West Ham.

However, Neal Maupay is likely to return, looking to add to his seven goals for the Seagulls.

Aaron Connolly will be on the bench.

Will Brighton battle to a point or even all three?
