Sheffield United reportedly chasing QPR’s Eberechi Eze

Eze’s QPR stint

Eberechi Eze has been on QPR’s books since 2016, when he joined from Millwall.

Eze would enjoy a loan spell at Wycombe Wanderers during the 2017/18 campaign.

But over the last two seasons, the 21-year-old has begun to cement himself as a regular feature for QPR.

Eze would make 46 appearances across all competitions last term for QPR, scoring four and assisting four in said games.

The attacking midfielder has also been a pivotal member of QPR’s squad so far this campaign, but this season Eze has begun to add a lot more goals to his game.

In 25 Championship outings this season, Eze has already bagged himself nine goals and provided four assists, a rather impressive record for an attacking midfielder.

Eze is also pretty versatile, as he is capable of playing through the middle and on both the left and right side of midfield.

Sheffield United linked

Eze is currently contracted to the Championship outfit until 2021.

However, the QPR standout is now being linked with a move to the English top-flight.

The Sun are reporting that Sheffield United are chasing a £12m deal for QPR’s Eze. But the Blades may face some stiff competition for Eze’s signature, as the report from the Sun also claims that he has been checked out by several major Premier League clubs.

Sheffield United have had a superb start to life back in the Premier League.

Chris Wilder has got his side playing some eye-catching football. United would also start Sunday just two points adrift of a European place.

But perhaps the Blades’ biggest downfall is their lack of goals. In 20 league outings this term, they have scored just 23.

That is by no means a terrible record, but it could certainly be improved upon, and adding someone like Eze to their ranks may help with that.
