Sheffield United were this afternoon dealt a blow on the injury front, after Enda Stevens was forced off during the club’s meeting with Brighton & Hove Albion.
Blades pegged back
Chris Wilder’s men welcomed the Seagulls to Bramall Lane a short time ago, for their latest Premier League outing.
Sheffield United headed into proceedings aware that, on the back of Tottenham’s defeat to Chelsea, a victory would have seen them leapfrog Jose Mourinho’s men into 5th in the English top-flight table.
When all was said and done, however, despite dominating possession, the Blades failed to best a plucky Brighton & Hove Albion side.
Wilder’s men did open the scoring at Bramall Lane, courtesy of Enda Stevens’ stunning strike with 26 minutes on the clock.
However, Brighton pulled level just 4 minutes later through Neal Maupay, to secure a share of the spoils for the Seagulls.

And, as outlined above, a disappointing afternoon from a Sheffield United perspective was compounded by a blow on the injury front.
After opening the scoring in spectacular fashion, Enda Stevens failed to reemerge for the second-half, with the Irish international having been replaced by Ben Osborn.
Though not confirmed by the Blades, it has since been widely-reported that Stevens picked a calf issue, and was not risked after the interval as a result.
It now remains to be seen whether the stopper faces a spell on the sidelines, with an update likely to be forthcoming over the next 48 hours.
