Sevilla are hoping to take advantage of the unrest at Arsenal this summer by signing one of their forwards.
The Spanish club believe that they can buy Lucas Perez after missing out on the former Deportivo hitman last year. Perez found first-team football hard to come by last season but still managed to score a decent number of goals.
He found the back of the net seven times in 21 appearances across four competitions. That total includes a hat-trick away to Basel in the Champions League. Perez also chipped in with five assists.
Unai Emery wanted to sign Perez before leaving for Paris Saint-Germain but his successor Jorge Sampaoli wanted a different kind of forward. Now, they think a bid of less than €20m could secure the 28-year-old, AS report.
Perez is understood to be disappointed with his role at Arsenal and fancies a return to La Liga.
The Gunners are already considering selling one player to Napoli, it was revealed today.
