Aguero’s performance tonight
It was almost a night to forget for Manchester City’s star striker and talisman, Sergio Aguero. The Argentina international, who is usually one of the world’s most deadliest strikers, missed two penalty kicks early on in the game and looked as if he was going to have a stinker of a night.
However, towards the end of the first half, Aguero nestled a lovely low driven shot into the bottom corner of the net to extend City’s lead to 2-0 and make up for his dismal penalty misses.
He then went on to score two more goals in the second half of the game and helped his side to a 5-0 win over Steaua Bucharest in Romania.
Aguero reacts to his penalty misses and hat-trick
During the game, many people were vocal on Sergio Aguero’s perfomance on Twitter. As expected, fans slated the striker after his two penalty misses, but were then quick to praise the 28-year-old when he made amends with his hat-trick of goals.
This of course must have made for interesting reading to the striker when he left the pitch as the Argentine tweeted a funny response.
Aguero joked that it’s a good job you can always come back and do better in football.

Good first step with great teamwork. Those PKs … but luckily you can always have a comeback in football. C’mon, City!
