A statistic highlighting the performances of Liverpool star man Mohamed Salah versus the Premier League’s top 6 has come to the fore online this evening.
Egyptian wide-man Salah made his return to the Premier League during the summer, after Liverpool splashed out a fee that could eventually rise to 50 million Euro to bring the former Chelsea man in from Serie A outfit AS Roma.
And he has certainly not taken long to settle back into the rigours of the English game, having already popped up with an incredible 28 goals across all competitions to this point in the campaign.
Liverpool welcomed Tottenham to Anfield yesterday evening, with a hectic conclusion to the clash eventually resulting in Salah’s injury-time strike being cancelled out by a last-gasp Harry Kane penalty to see the spoils shared in a thrilling 2-2 draw.
Salah’s 91st-minute strike (which also happened to be an absolute worldie) was his second of the day, and, as has since been highlighted across social media, marked the African’s 7th goal versus Liverpool’s Premier League top 6 rivals this season.
This is 4 goals more than any other player from a top 6 side has managed in such fixtures to this point in the campaign, showcasing the fact that Salah comes to the fore for the Reds when they need him the most:
