The Clarets had been in pretty dire form before this past weekend, losing four league games in a row.
However, Sean Dyche’s side would put an end to their slump by seeing off 2nd place Leicester City.
That victory saw Burnley move up to 14th in the English top-flight, although, there is still a chance they could be sucked into a relegation battle as they began the game week just five points off 18th place Aston Villa.
As for Man United, they began the midweek action 5th in the PL, five points off Chelsea who are in action on Tuesday evening. United’s last tie saw them put to the sword by bitter rivals, Liverpool.

Dyche on Barnes & JBG
Prior to facing Man United, Sean Dyche held his latest press conference on Tuesday.
In his presser, Dyche would provide updates on both Ashley Barnes and Johann Berg Gudmundsson.
The Burnley boss confirmed Barnes, who has missed their last two league outings, has undergone surgery:
“He’s had his surgery and they’re happy with how it went and he will recover as per norm now.” As quoted by Burnley’s official website.
As for Johann Berg Gudmundsson, Dyche stated he is hopeful the Belgian can feature in some capacity at the weekend and he has a chance ‘of being around it’ vs United:
“Johann has had a good few days and has a chance of coming back into the figuring. “Certainly, I’d hope by the weekend he could figure in some capacity.
“He has a chance tomorrow of being around it, which is better news.” As quoted by Burnley’s official website.
